Toby Mergler
Founder and Managing Attorney
Every since leaving one of the nation’s largest law firms, Toby has built a highly distinguished career across sectors as diverse as banking, media and ecommerce by focusing on 3 core objectives.
- Form powerful partnerships
- Never be afraid to take on a Goliath
- Provide the best possible experience for clients, partners and customers
ClearFrame Legal applies those exact ideas to not only get clients optimized outcomes but to also make sure that their needs remain front and center throughout the process. In fact, that’s where the name comes from – a clear frame provides invisible support without distracting from what really matters – what’s in the center.
But since you came to this page, you’ll probably also want some credentials. Toby is a graduate from the University of Virginia School of Law as well as the McIntyre School of Commerce at UVA. He has co-founded multiple businesses that grew to millions of dollars in annual revenue, as well as served as a high-level executive at several other venture-backed start-ups that achieved nine figure valuations. He also led an investigation into the megabanks after the subprime mortgage crisis on behalf of the US government AND has been an on-air personality for ESPN (not a combo you come across every day).
The teams he has assembled in the mass tort space have won billions of dollars in compensation for those who were unjustly injured and are eager to continue helping those in need. He’s also been countless people’s emergency contacts as he’s the friend you want if you are in trouble.
